From Longwood Junction the flight of nine locks drops 65 feet to Rushall Junction, passing through some of the best kept countryside and gardens along its length. For more infomation on this canal please go to the history page. | ||||||

| A view of locks 5,6 and 7 under the Birmingham road bridge,Sargent's Hill. This bridge carries the main Walsall to Birmingham Road, the busy A34.The walk along the towpath here is very pleasant as it is in good order and well maintained. The walk from Longwood Junction to Rushall Junction is truly a fine length of urban canal, which would stand comparison with many others in the country. The phot on the right shows an existing lock keepers cottage. | ||||||
